You Miss 100% of the Shots You Don’t Take: The Uninvited Wildcard Returns for 2026

The Uninvited is opening the door once again with the return of The Uninvited Wildcard, a digital qualifier designed to uncover the next wave of standout street and park riders.

The Wildcard gives girls, women, and non-binary snowboarders the opportunity to earn a spot at the 2026 Uninvited Invitational, taking place April 8-12, 2026 at Woodward Park City, Utah. Selected riders will join 70 of the world’s top street-focused snowboarders, competing for a $60,000 prize purse and a place on one of snowboarding’s most visible stages.

The Uninvited partnered with Slush the Magazine to collect entries for the 2025 Wildcard digital qualifier. From more than 60 submissions, 12 videos were selected for a separate public voting segment, and ultimately five riders earned invitations to compete at the 2025 Uninvited Invitational where all five advanced to the finals Those riders were Bella Warren (USA), Asya Shulgina (Russia), Hinano Sakamoto (Japan), Shizuku Hanada (Japan), and Katja Dutu (Netherlands), further cementing the Wildcard as a meaningful pathway into elite competition, and underscoring it’s role in elevating emerging talent onto one of snowboarding’s most visible stages.

How to Enter
Riders can submit a 30–60 second video edit via Instagram, showcasing their strongest riding, whether that’s in the streets, the park, or a mix of both. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges made up of professional snowboarders and industry leaders, who will select the Wildcard recipients.

About The Uninvited
The Uninvited was spearheaded in 2017 by Jess Kimura, one of the most influential snowboarders of the past decade. After recognizing an abundance of talent without a proper platform to showcase it on, she self-produced an award-winning film trilogy that challenged the gender disparity in the action sports industry. The Uninvited series launched multiple careers for girls, women, and non-binary riders who needed a place to shine. 

Harnessing the same energy and intentions that fueled those films, we have channeled them into a competition series where these riders aren't just a subcategory; they are the main event. By providing the platform and tools needed for them to thrive, our goal is to empower these athletes to rise above expectations and rewrite the narrative for generations to come. The Uninvited Invitational serves as a platform to showcase and enable the highest level of progression in a street-oriented environment.
