VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Stop No. 3 RECAP
On February 28th and March 1st 2026, the 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop hosted by Blue Tomato went down at PenkenPark Mountopolis in the Mayrhofen Hippach holiday region, Zillertal. As one of Europe ́s leading junior snowboard series and with its unique combination of snowboard slopestyle contests, freestyle coachings and the infamous Blue Tomato presents: Penken FunCross Battle, the Välley Rälley attracted snowboarders from all over Europe and even Australia to travel to the Zillertal. For the kick-off of the third Zillertal Välley Rälley tour stop, the PenkenPark showed off in its usual splendour with a perfect XXL setup. Over fifty snowboarders aged between 4 and 25 came along from all over Europe and even Australia to get involved in Saturday's slopestyle competition. The riders presented their best tricks on the ‘Advanced’ and ‘Medium’ lines. Once again, they raised the bar of progression in perfect conditions and bright sunshine. Blue Tomato provided free hot dogs and snacks for everyone. And the contest day reached its emotional climax with the award ceremony:
As the best male rider, Austria's Erik Dovjak was delighted to take victory in the ‘open men’ contest. With his stylish ‘BS 1260 Tail’, Erik also claimed the Horsefeathers Best Trick Award. Hartley Zietsch (AUS) and Ethan Smith (GBR) were hot on his heels, earning overall silver and bronze. Hartley also won the contest in his age group ‘grom boys’ (U16).
In the ladies’ ‘open class’, Iceland's Anna Hlynsdottir took first place as the best female rider of the day. Anna's compatriot Steinunn Maria Thorarinsdottir (ISL) followed suit and claimed gold in the ‘grom girls’ (U16) category. In the rookies ́ (U18) class, Anna Chymcakova (CZE) and Clayton Colsey-Nicholls (GBR) were delighted to take the day's victory. In the battle of the youngest (U12), Klaudie Pouchova from the Czech Republic put in an unbeatable performance, securing herself first place in the ‘super grom girls` class and second place in the overall female rankings. Young gun Newin Kunert, also riding for Czech, took victory in the ‘super grom boys` category and has been deservedly awarded ‘most impressive grom of the day’ by the Ästhetiker for his strong performance.

On Sunday, the action continued at the PenkenPark with over thirty eager participants honing their skills in small groups during the freestyle coaching workshops with the Ästhetiker coaches. Shortly before noon, the starting signal went off for the infamous Blue Tomato presents: Penken FunCross Battle. The popular fun contest delivered an exciting race against the time. Over 60 participants, from five to fifty, parents, coaches, and even very young snowboarders with no contest experience, raced against the clock through the FunCross course. And of course, some of the Ästhetiker snowboard crew members didn't miss out on the action. At the end of the day, no one less than the Ästhetiker president himself – Steve Gruber – scored an unbeaten 48:28 seconds run, taking victory in the highly competitive men ́s field.
In the ladies' race, Klara Suchanova, coach of the Czech team, raced unchallenged to first place, while local hero Lua Wolfe (AUT) took the top spot on the ‘rookie girls' podium. Matej Patak (CZE) raced for gold in the ‘rookie boys' race and freestyle allrounder Jonas Krauer (CZE) achieved the best score in the `grom boys’ category. In the Super Groms race, Klaudie Pouchova and Antonin Hrazdira, both also from the Czech Republic, were delighted to race to first place. Blue Tomato and Mayrhofen Tourism not only rewarded the podium winners, but all participants with packed goodie bags and great prizes, ensuring many happy faces for the successful conclusion of the 3rd Zillertal Välley Rälley Tour stop in Mayrhofen.

Andreas Pramstraller from Mayrhofner Bergbahnen is delighted with the successful event: "So many motivated young athletes from all over Europe showcase that the Zillertal Välley Rälley has grown into one of the most popular snowboard series for young talent in the Alps. Thanks to the passion and years of experience of the Ästhetiker Crew, the Välley Rälley now has a very special status in the region. The third event at the PenkenPark once again offered plenty of action, airtime, and lots of fun for everyone in Mayrhofen! A special highlight was the Penken FunCross Battle, where everyone can get involved. Young and old raced against the clock and shared the stoke! We are already looking forward to next year!"
With the third of four contest results, the cards in the Välley Rälley overall rankings have been reshuffled once again. The overall tour winners will finally be crowned the new ‘Kings and Queens of the Välley’ and Zillertal Välley Rälley royal family after the last tour stop on 24th and 25th of April 2026 at Hintertux Glacier.
