Art meets Snowboarding: Blue Tomato unveils limited-edition Burton board featuring an exclusive Nychos Design
Together with Burton and the artist Nychos, Blue Tomato is launching an exclusive snowboard, the “Burton X Nychos Process 2027“. The limited edition of 180 pieces combines the distinctive art of Austrian urban artist Nychos with the performance of a Burton Process snowboard. Next to being the exclusive distributor of the board, Blue Tomato will also carry several of Nychos’ fine art prints exclusively in Europe from now on.
Nychos is an internationally renowned muralist, illustrator, and painter. He became famous for his distinctive style, which combines anatomical dissections, pop culture elements, and comic aesthetics. His large-format murals adorn cities around the world. Nychos is the founder of the RABBIT EYE MOVEMENT collective. Today, he is one of the defining figures of the international urban art scene and regularly exhibits in galleries and museums around the world.

Kundalini Rising: Anatomy of the inner power
The board’s artwork is called „Kundalini Rising“ and opens a view into the invisible. Nychos also here reveals layer after layer and connects anatomy, spirit and energy in an impressive way. The design visualizes the energetic process of spiritual awakening:
Along the spine, the Kundalini rises, depicted as a snake and symbolizing life force energy. It awakens in the Root Chakra, winds its way along the chakras, and follows the vagus nerve upwards. On its way, it releases old traumas and opens the Third Eye, indicated through the eye of the snake. At the tip of the board, the Crown Chakra finally becomes visible.
At the center stands the spine, the axis between body and energy. It is perfect for a snowboard that embodies balance, movement and flow. Kundalini Rising stands for the awakening of inner power in many ways.
Nychos has been part of the Blue Tomato community for over 10 years, having designed parts of their stores in Vienna 1010, Neubaugasse , and Munich. CEO Adam Ellis explains the motivation behind this project: “Snowboarding and our passion about the lifestyle runs deep for Blue Tomato. We see a rising threat of commoditization in snowboarding and this exclusive work with Nychos is consistent with our goal of doing things that are special and unique.”
