Here We Go: The 22nd Hintertux Park Opening Is Just Around the Corner

The countdown is on: From October 2–4, Hintertux Glacier kicks off the new season with the 22nd Hintertux Park Opening. In just a few days, it’s finally time to strap on snowboards and skis and get things started together at Betterpark Hintertux.

The weekend is packed: Werni’s Transfer Games presented by Quiksilver & Nitro Snowboards, Kids Shred by Gigi, the Rock A Rail Qualification at Betterpark Hintertux open to all snowboarders and freeskiers, the Canary Cartel Playground Session, and the On-Snow Test bring plenty of action to the mountain throughout the day.

The action continues in the evening. Friday’s Movie Night at the Tux Center features two fresh snowboard productions: “Kippies! – A Nitro Team Gathering” and “Big Mountain Street”. One of the highlights follows on Saturday evening with the big Rock A Rail Final at the valley station. Here, the best riders from the previous day’s open qualification meet the invited riders. The crowd can expect a showcase of next-level tricks as the brand-new 2026 setup gets its first real test.

Then it’s time to party: The legendary Opening Parties have always been an essential part of the weekend. On Friday, everyone meets up at Kleine Tenne and Bergfried Alm in Tux-Lanersbach - with free entry. On Saturday, the party continues directly after the Rock A Rail Final at Hohenhaus Tenne, with DJ Tallboy and Cold Ass Ice taking over as the main acts. Tickets are available in advance here or directly at the door. Extra shuttle buses run between Mayrhofen and Hintertux Glacier and back on both Friday and Saturday.

The Snow Card Tirol is valid from October 1 and can therefore be used throughout the entire Opening weekend.
